Project Overview
Lycopodium partnered with the City of Vincent to deliver comprehensive building asset management services. The project involved site condition assessments and data capture for 98 council-owned buildings, including well-known community facilities such as Beatty Park Leisure Centre.
Scope of Works
Our team provided a complete asset management service including:
- Detailed building condition assessments
- Review of statutory regulated equipment against Australian Standards and building codes
- Development of 10-year forward works plans with three prioritised investment scenarios
- Presentation of findings and recommendations to City of Vincent Council Members
Data from the assessments was processed using Lycopodium-developed software to generate a customisable 10-year forward works plan.
Risk-Based Planning and Cost Savings
Working closely with the City of Vincent, the scenarios were tailored to align with the City’s asset management strategies. A risk-based prioritisation approach allowed the City to:
- Focus budget on higher-value and high-service-level buildings
- Reduce spending on lower-service-level assets
- Reallocate savings to building upgrades and renewal projects
This methodology delivered significant cost efficiencies in building maintenance and long-term capital planning.
Key Outcomes
- Condition assessments completed for 98 City of Vincent buildings
- Custom 10-year forward works plans with three prioritised scenarios
