Project Overview
Lycopodium Asset Management partnered with the Shire of Dardanup to assess 44 building assets and deliver a complete asset management solution. The project aimed to provide the Shire with the data and tools needed to accurately forecast maintenance budgets over 10 years and implement effective preventative maintenance strategies.
Scope of Works
The project included:
- Detailed building condition assessments and high-resolution data capture
- Customisable 10-year forward works plans with three prioritised investment scenarios
- Budget gap analysis comparing each scenario against the Shire’s existing maintenance budgets
The gap analysis identified funding shortfalls or surpluses across each scenario, giving the Shire a clear view of the adjustments required to meet asset renewal needs.
Risk-Based Planning and Benefits
By introducing risk-based prioritisation and preventative maintenance into the Shire’s asset management strategy, Lycopodium enabled:
- Accurate 10-year maintenance and renewal planning
- Clear visibility of budget gaps to inform funding decisions
- Efficient allocation of resources to the highest-priority building assets
