Project Overview
Lycopodium Asset Management partnered with the Shire of Wyalkatchem to deliver comprehensive building and infrastructure asset management services. Projects covered the aerodrome, aquatic centre, and recreation facilities, providing the Shire with data-driven insights to guide long-term maintenance and renewal strategies.
Scope of Works
The project included:
- Building and infrastructure condition assessments for key community assets
- Forward works plans to guide maintenance and renewals over the asset lifecycle
- Fair value assessment of the aerodrome runway, terminal, and supporting buildings
- Documentation of a full Asset Management Plan, including whole-of-life cost analysis
The fair value assessment provided the calculated asset value for any selected year, while the forward works plans helped the Shire implement risk-based and cost-effective maintenance programs.
Lifecycle Planning and Community Benefit
Lycopodium’s approach enabled the Shire to:
- Determine practical renewal, repair, and decommissioning dates for each asset
- Support budget planning and regulatory compliance with accurate asset valuations
