What we do

Our modular and pre-engineered capability has grown steadily over the past three decades within our South African business, formerly known as ADP. ADP commenced operations initially for the design and supply of modular diamond plants in 1997 and over the ensuing years has expanded its capability to deliver specialised project services for the mining industry across a range of commodities including: diamonds, fluorspar, gold, graphite, iron ore, lithium, mineral sands, platinum, rare earth, rubies, tin, uranium, copper and zinc.

Our expertise in delivering re-locatable modular plants, compactly designed for high performance and low-cost installation, to a broad cross-section of clients in the mining industry, is unparalleled. Modular plant designs have been developed for crushing, milling, gravity separation, scrubbing, dense medium separation, ore sorting and final product recovery circuits of various capacities.

The designs are based on use of preferred vendors and their standard equipment sizes and configurations. However, each plant is unique due to differences in ore mineralogy and grades as well as client preferences. Plants are pre-assembled in Cape Town then dis-assembled and shipped to site.

Bulk Sampling and Production

Pre-Treatment Plants

These robustly built pre-treatment plants are suitable for alluvial and hard rock scrubbing and are sized to suit small to mid-scale mining or bulk sampling type of operations.

Dense Medium Separator / Plants

These compact DMS plants are designed for use by alluvial or kimberlite prospection operations or mid-scale mining operations.

Crushing Module

This two-stage crusher module can work in conjunction with a scrubber to pre-wash material containing any muddy material or clay prior to crushing. If the feed is clean competent rock, then this can be fed to this module directly. The jaw crusher and cone crusher are mounted immediately adjacent to each other above a jet pump sump.

Crushing, Milling and Concentrating

These plants combine small scale crushers and mills with concentrators such as jigs or centrifugal concentrators and tables which are suitable for prospection operations or artisanal scale mining operations.

Bulk Sampling Plants

Diamond bulk sampling plants incorporating scrubbing, crushing, DMS and XRF final recovery have been supplied to clients in Angola, Botswana, DRC, Guinea, Liberia, South Africa and Sierra Leone.

Production Items

Final Recovery Plants

These are containerised XRF or XRT based plants sized to suit the client’s sorting requirements, principally based on the installed DMS treatment capacity. The plants are fully preassembled before being very securely packed for transportation to site.

Mobile Dry Mining Unit (DMU)

Innovative Modular Solution: The Dry Mining Unit (DMU) represents the radical marriage of underwater track crawler technology with high-capacity skid-mounted materials handling and sand pumping systems, into a single remotely controlled mobile sand processing machine.

Elution Plant Circuits and Gold Room

The modules are based around in-gauge ISO sized boxes. Each plant is fully trail assembled in a workshop environment and then minimally stripped back for transportation purposes i.e., the boxes are transported with as much equipment as possible remaining installed. This approach ensures that site erection time is kept to a minimum when compared to conventional stick builds on site. The plants can be offered for varying treatment rates and with varying degree of automation so as to fit in with the client’s overall plant control philosophy.

XRT Sorter

We have supplied and installed XRTs from the two major XRT suppliers, being Steinert and Tomra, for ore-sorting and concentrate sorting applications. Additionally, we have also supplied and installed both colour and IR type sorters for various clients.

Prospection Sampling

Prospection Plants

These compact and robust plants are developed specifically for diamond prospection of alluvial gravels and are rated to treat either 6 tph or 10 tph.

Auxiliaries

Containers

The containers are modelled on a standard 6 or 12 metre shipping container and can be configured to suit the client’s specific needs but generally come fitted with roof vents and side louvres, windows and lockable doors as may be required.

Degrit Modules

Combining the well-known technologies of cyclone classification and inclined dewatering screens to treat client’s effluent streams, modules are designed to the suit the client’s specific needs as dictated by material PSDs and effluent flow rates, to maximise solids and water recovery.

Sizing Modules

Where downstream concentration or sorting processes require a feed to be sized into various sized fractions, we use the appropriate screening technology and surge capacity to suit the client specific requirements.

Jet Pumps

We have our own range of hopper type central jet pumps ranging from 36 to 80mm which are either machined case hardened or high chrome castings. These are ideal for secure concentrate transfers between unit processes or wet gravel transfers in general. In instances of needing to transfer highly abrasive materials, the jet pump components can be manufactured in machined ceramics. Additionally, we have a range of annular type jet pumps from 75 to 250mm.
