What we do

Our project services expertise spans the project set-up, execution and scheduling spectrum – knowledge we bring to the project delivery phase, ensuring your project is delivered on time, on spec, and on budget.

We’ll set up and agree a project services management plan with you, so we can develop and implement appropriate strategies, systems, processes and procedures that provide timely and accurate information. This will enable informed decision-making at the earliest opportunity, minimising risk and maximising certainty of project outcome. Your plan will include:

Project scheduling

Establishing a baseline project schedule based on specific work packs, including start/finish dates and forecast man-hours to complete, our project controls experts will define and sequence activities, identifying and analysing opportunities, KPIs and project metrics to report risks and the critical path. We’ll also implement project schedule controls for monitoring, controlling and reporting changes.

Contracts management

Once we’ve set up your project’s contracting plan and procedures, our team will establish a standard contract structure and wording for service agreements and direct works contracts.

We can manage tender processes for all service agreements and construction works contracts, making recommendations at every stage, and subsequently manage all contract administration, providing commercial governance to comply with your project requirements.

Procurement management

Our procurement management remit starts with establishing a procurement plan and procedures, including revision strategies and standard purchase order terms and conditions. From there, as your project controls team, we can manage the enquiry/buying process and external/internal tender queries and make recommendations, as required. We’ll administer all purchase orders through to closeout and liaise with the materials management team to ensure all materials are available, as and when required, developing materials responsibility matrices and reporting on all procurement matters and statistics.

Materials management

With your project’s procurement and materials management plan and procedures in place (including site materials management), we’ll provide overall materials, transport/logistics, inspection, expedition and (third party) inspection management oversight. Within this, as your project team, we’ll oversee site-based materials warehousing, preservation and issuance in conjunction with your site management team. We’ll report on all materials management matters and statistics to the project controls team, manage the establishment and administration of site controls and manage the materials management database.

Project accounting

The provision of timely and accurate financial data in compliance with policies and procedures is critical for success. Our accounting plan for your project will cover:

  • maintenance of project accounting records
  • co-ordination/oversight of accounts payable
  • execution of internal controls
  • recording timely accruals
  • reviewing, monitoring and correcting project financial data
  • reviewing invoices for accuracy and matching to commitments
  • invoice approval in accordance with the agreed Project Approval Authority Matrix

Project reporting

Having established the management procedures outlined above, we’ll provide you with the following so you have control of your project:

  • Budget management
  • Change management
  • Commitments/Authorities to commit
  • Forecasting – by package (facility, area, sub-system, etc)
  • Reporting – progress, cost, schedule, etc
  • Tracking – procurement, equipment milestones, construction verification
  • Commissioning
  • Project S Curves and Earned Value
